I always look forward to the yuletide sight of a London absent with human, vehicular, and general commuter traffic. Wearing my christmas tree headband, I rode shotgun on Christmas Day on the car journey from E14 to NW10. As we listened to the indie christmas tunes of Xfm (The Waitresses: Christmas Wrapping), it was neither eerie nor gloomy to see emptiness in the streets. The tranquility of the quiet was relaxing, and driving through the postcodes of memory lane was pleasantly nostalgic. The Big Smoke breathed and exhaled. Perhaps it had a cigarette and an ice cream.
Alas, with the continued sales, today marks the return of the multitude.
Yet I find looking at the photos of an Abandoned London rather dull indeed. The city is but a stage, all the men and women merely players, they have their exits and their entrances. Intermission over.

whoa. abandoned london nga. i was also wishing that manila streets would be empty during this superrrr long vacation (gov't-declared holidays between xmas and new year!), but it's just not happening. for some weird reason, people are staying in town.....wait, i'm part of that population :P boo!
