convivial pursuits
There's this Tagalog idiom - mababaw ang kaligayahan - it literally translates as 'low happiness' though the meaning is closer to 'simple pleasures'. Well this was what I got up to with my friends on Saturday with the V&A Village Fête, which was such a lot of fun, and I was definitely like a kid in a candy store.
- The simply puntastic idea of a Fetebook was amusing enough to make me smile.
- The lovely Ruskiebutt and I, er made asses of ourselves as we raced to vigorously pump each other's hearts until it popped with the Love Machine.
- Having inhaled five helium balloons, I became a chipmunk version of Alanis Morrissette as I sang at the Heli-Oke booth.
- The Mustache Commander will be pleased that I have won him a mustache ring after a game of toss. Yes I know it is m-o-u-s-t-a-c-h-e.
- My Gay friend could not successfully distinguish a nipple from a dome
I only wished there was more ice cream and candy floss. I should have also taken more photos and regret not having had a go at the stamp race...
