Distractions
... is a game show that I find laugh-out-loud funny. Rather sadistic perhaps, but there's something enjoyable about watching people being shocked with electricity as they buzz for answers. Not so keen on the drinking or eating round though.
... as we're on the subject of television, I watched The Apprentice and Desperate Housewives last night. Found the Guardian's review of these programmes most amusing. Well-written vitriol makes for a good read. Maybe there's something about Lucys being skilled at them.
... really loving the Shout Out Louds and their new album Our Ill Wills. I do like Swedes. Makes for a great mash with carrots too.
... some people are thinking about the rather karmic retribution on Burma and China with the hurricane and earthquake. I refuse to believe in any supreme being that punishes the innocent for the wrongdoings of the guilty few. Noah's ark story is only evidence of someone losing the plot.
... the BBC are being retarded about this knitting Dr Who business. All hail geekdom fanaticism.
... and yes, blasted essay is still in the process of being rewritten. Damn this further education malarkey.

Publishing knitting patterns on the web for free is quite a hot topic. Designers complain they're not being paid for them and work on less than minimum wage so the free patterns are being taken down all over the place.
Am not too sure what mazzmatazz did wrong though. She wasn't profiting from the patterns, so the BBC should really have gone after the sellers on ebay who were. And offered to market her patterns for her...

i know distractions! we also watch it too, sometimes. i always like their ways of making the final round a real torture for the finalist! hahaha! really puts a final stamp on the show's senselessness.

I love Distractions! It is rather cruel but Jimmy Carr is so hilarious. I started watching it when I got back and we only get the US version. Rubbish!
