Here's an outline from 31/08/2005. Freaky. It's only taken me two years to actually plod through all the options, though not quite in numerical order. Still working on Number One though. YES. ESSAY. ESSAY. ESSAY.

I was completely out of the loop on Britain's Got Talent drama with Madonna and Charlie. I was in Manila but clearly avoided the news coverage. With Mutya Buena, Myleene Klass, and dancing convicts, it looks like pinoys are gaining column inches.
... is a game show that I find laugh-out-loud funny. Rather sadistic perhaps, but there's something enjoyable about watching people being shocked with electricity as they buzz for answers. Not so keen on the drinking or eating round though.
... as we're on the subject of television, I watched The Apprentice and Desperate Housewives last night. Found the Guardian's review of these programmes most amusing. Well-written vitriol makes for a good read. Maybe there's something about Lucys being skilled at them.
... really loving the Shout Out Louds and their new album Our Ill Wills. I do like Swedes. Makes for a great mash with carrots too.
... some people are thinking about the rather karmic retribution on Burma and China with the hurricane and earthquake. I refuse to believe in any supreme being that punishes the innocent for the wrongdoings of the guilty few. Noah's ark story is only evidence of someone losing the plot.
... the BBC are being retarded about this knitting Dr Who business. All hail geekdom fanaticism.
... and yes, blasted essay is still in the process of being rewritten. Damn this further education malarkey.
It's been t-shirt wearing weather here in London since I've been back. Is it too soon to admit that summer has arrived in the UK?
Am suffering from a bout of writer's block, motivation is out of sorts, and in a mood perversely inclined to disagree or to do the opposite of what is expected or desired. Also rather restless and latent energy needs an output. So am resorting to some lyrics for now.
Someone could say: I don't belong here
No one could say: Isn't it all clear?
I'm blowing a phrase out in the open
Out on the street, just gimme the heat
I'll suck the flame to me
I'll suck it in, I'm o.k. I should be
You cut me deep, you know how to do it
my motives are cheap, you know how I do it
so when do we go, where do we meet
I'll give you my sorrow, you'll give me the heat
I'll suck the flame to me
I'll suck it in
Some erotic feel
keeps coming on
it's so unreal
I come undone
then I look back (I find a frame already built)
when I look back (it's still waiting to be filled)
I find it had
flickered for a minute and then it was gone
Someone could say: I don't belong here
Every night, every day, just gimme the heat
Some erotic feel
keeps coming on
it's so unreal
I come undone
Some shady deal
Despite the black
the light gets in
through every crack
then I look back (I find a frame already built)
when I look back (it's still waiting to be filled)
why is it that (time between and no time left)
why is it not (sweeter than I ever thought)
How can it last (make it last a minute more)
How can it last (make it last a little more)
How can it last (make it last a little more)
How can it last (make it last a minute more)
I been around the bend
I can't remember when
but my great misery
it means a lot to me
you been around, I know
and me I'm just too slow
I'm craving more and more
I'm craving more and more
I'm craving more and more
Gimme, gimme the heat
- dEUS
Meh. Recently feeling besieged by a variety of things. So it's good to get a reprieve when things aren't being funny. Check out this sketch by Eddie Izzard which someone has converted into lego. I guess sometimes even the wicked and evil have days that are off-key.
